The crosswalk at the intersection of Cedar and Arch is a catastrophe awaiting. I cross that street to work everyday and nearly get hit regular. If I were not so attentive and wait and make contact before I cross the street, I and my colleagues would get hit. Of concern, even cars who see me/us will not slow down and will zoom down the street. The drivers sometimes play a game of seeing if they swerve around people crossing. The cars come down Cedar far beyond the speed limit. Some flashing lights for pedestrian crossing are desperately needed. I know there is a stop sign at Spruce but that only means that cars will speed until they get to that stop sign. People should matter; take care of this immediately. walking to work should not be a life and death matter. The reports of near misses is inexcusable.
