A. I am interested in receiving the marijuana-related arrests by race data that formed the basis of the March 2018 presentation by the Economic Development staff, related to the cannabis ordinance. I am writing to request access to data of marijuana-related arrests by both racial/ethnic demographics AND sector. I would like access to the arrest data by race broken down by sector, and by year. For example, i would like to know how many white people were arrested by in Sector 3 in 2004 and 2005. Marijuana arrest data by year, by race and sector, from 1997-2017, or before. This would include arrests for the following charges: 11357A, 11358 and 11359. While i appreciate the analysis prepared which showed arrests by sector and arrests by race, all by year, being able to understand race and geography is important to better understand the War on Drugs. Also, since the War on Drugs formally began in 1971, and the original request was for 30 years of data and not 20, please provide all the data that was obtained, however far that may go back.
