This issue plagues the entire island. It's not just limited to one street. I see this stuff every day on Atlantic, Marina Village Pkwy, Park Street, Central, Broadway. Even on Buena Vista, they do it right in front of the police station and nothing happens to them! Our police department is not what it used to be. Crime and lawlessness is slowly but surely taking over the island. In 10-20 years Alameda will just be Oakland #2 It's very sad

The Alameda Landing HOA is working to get speed bumps installed on Bette Street, and as I understand it is just waiting for approval from the fire department. It is very bad though. Earlier this week we got video of a driver driving down Bette at 50mph, without even tapping the breaks for the stop signs. This happens every day. Link to video:

Police are not effective and this is becoming dangerous to home owners and pedestrians.

The City of Alameda Public Works Department only oversees property within the public right-of-way. According to our records, Bette Street is a private street.
