Two years ago, a new play structure was placed in the park. At that time, sand was added to the ground but no lip between the sand area and the pavement was created. As such the pavement is always covered with sand, which is very dangerous for cyclists and children running as there is no traction. Two complaints have been filed with 311, and at least three emails have been exchanged with Parks staff, who have been "looking into it" for years. Its not hard to fix: remove sand or add a lip keep the sand off.
