I have reported this more then a thousand times..i feel as if no one cares.. try living on laurel street.. its a never ending battle..

I have had enough of this facility, they do not respect our community on any level.

I even wrote a very long, in depth letter to the mayor...and nothing. Not even a response..ive reported to codes, sanitation, police, mayor and health department..not a damn thing has changed. There needs to be more people reporting on this..

So now they block my comment??

There has to be something we can do about this place. I guess a news expose' really is the only option. Sad, really hate that all of our attempts to have the city DO ANYTHING have fallen on deaf ears. They try to put it on the police but the police can't fine the facility nor do they have the resources to continuously monitor this place. The management should be held responsible since this is a RESIDENTIAL neighborhood, not an office park and certainly not a block party though it sounds that way every time there's a shift change.

So I looked up the year built to this nursing home Stpete health and rehab. That nursing home was built way before the surrounding residential properties around it. Especially the newer ones across from it. It’s a commercial building aiding the care of the elderly that people can’t or don’t want to take care of anymore. You choose to live across a commercial property you have to adapt to the circumstances and live with those large food delivery trucks that they need on a weekly bases to feed 100 people everyday three times a day and the trucks for medical supplies to care for them and so on and so forth. If you don’t like all that ....then maybe you should Really consider moveing to a D restricted neighborhood you won’t have this problem. Plan and simple they was there first and would be there last. So cut them some slack they are doing this cold society justice and taking good care of people.

Clearly, you don't have to deal with the garbage we residents do. Additionally, we've already checked into it and they are grandfathered in, when they are shut down no other businesses will be allowed to move into the neighborhood as it is zoned STRICTLY RESIDENTIAL. How about you worry about where you live instead of trolling message boards?! You have NO IDEA what you're talking about nor what we were told when we bought the land. The grandson of the man who owned this property set provisions far before he ever sold the land so move on Troll, you know not what you speak.

Law enforcement issues (illegal street parking or other illegal activities, abandoned/inoperative vehicles in the street, noise ordinance violations, etc.) need to be reported directly to the St. Petersburg Police Department by calling 727-893-7780 (for non-emergencies) or 911 (for emergencies.)

The man that owned this property originally has no grandsons. So wherever you are getting your information from is out in left field. And yes we have to deal with because it was here long before the houses. And yes I have lived here for the last 24 years so I know what the issues are.

The nursing home still is required to follow city code and decency not matter when it was built.

Oh really, perhaps you should let Scott and Carolyn know that their grandfather lied to them about their parentage then. Good Lord, this isn't an OPINION board it's to report CODE VIOLATIONS and nowhere does it state that whoever was there first doesn't have to follow the rules. Ok..this is going to far.. getting way off subject, there is no grandson, scott is the son and im not sure what he or Carol have to do with anything. I think this needs to be deleted now.

What needs to happen is that people should be able to use this service to report things to the city - SEE - CLICK - FIX nowhere in there does it say COMMENT - CHASTISE - COMMENTATE. This began with Steve wanting to be the neighborhood historian while deciding who should MOVE. Keep opinions off the board and we'll all be able to move on.
