I have also seen a man walking up and down St. John carrying what looked like a soft drink bottle. The last time was a week or two ago. He would stop in front of homes and look out at the street without saying anything. It was just very unusual.

Sounds like a guy I have seen 2 or 3 times on St John. The last time was a couple of weeks ago. He did not say anything but kept walking up and down, stopping in front of homes and facing the street. He appeared to be carrying a beverage of some kind, I thought. It was hard to tell. He didn't look threatening but it was just very odd and a little unnerving, especially after the robberies/assaults that occurred here on April 10.

Is he is tall-ish, skinny, white male, with dark hair around 50 years old? if so, that might be a man who lives on saint john who is mentally disabled and tends to look through cans for treasures. He tends to drink from time to time but lives with family.

No, I was talking about a different guy. Tallish, slender black man with round glasses. He yells "Hi Pretty!" to women walking by. He wound up following me to my car and telling me some story about needing money to get to the hospital and see his mother or something, and pulled up his pant leg to show me some wound he supposedly had. He started asking me for money just as I drove away. The next day he was hanging out on Chapel St. doing the "hey pretty" routine again. (Haven't seen him on Lyon the last couple days, though.)

The man on St John is white with short black hair. I would have guessed he is younger than 50. More in his 30s I thought, though it was hard to get that close of a look.
