Description
A 4-way stop was put in last year to begin to slow the traffic that uses Plaza as a cut through. My children and other neighborhood kids (20+) wait for their school bus on this road. At least once every two days, cars speed through this stop without even slowing - just during the 10 mins we wait for the bus (let alone the rest of the day). Especially with little children, this is extremely dangerous.
I believe it is time to put in at least a set of speed bumps in Turnberry on Plaza (perhaps similar to those on Shelley Rd) or take other affirmative measures to curb the speeding and mitigate the chance of tragedy.

The Public Works Department has responded. A traffic calming evaluation was completed on Plaza Place last week. The street qualified for the Major project list but ranks 77th out of 91 streets on the list. The street had traffic calming installed in 2006 as a major project. As a major project the street would not have speed humps as an option. Being so far down the project list, we feel no additional traffic calming will be implemented in the near future.
We will contact RPD and ask for added enforcement of the existing stop signs and speed limits. Thanks.
