I have seen 2 cars broken into in the past 2 weeks. The low lighting is also a safety issue for people walking down the street, either side of Doyle between Powell and 59th or taking a dog out for a walk after dark. I think the city could add more lights at a lower height and post notices about not leaving anything of value in their cars. The targets of the break-ins are typically people with suitcases or briefcases in their cars - visitors who are unaware of this high car crime area and then loose so many important items. I saw two people rushing to their getaway car 2 weeks ago. It was so dark I couldn't see them, ID the type of car, or see a license plate. This has been going on for years and I'd like to see the city make a difference on this street with better lighting and soon!

I have been parking on Doyle for more than 7 years and with the nights drawing in I feel unsafe walking from my car to my house due to the poor lighting. I recently had my back window smashed in but thankfully nothing was taken as I never leave ANYTHING in my car.
