I have been reporting sights over by where i live for over 9 months and nothing has been done to totally correct the issues! The city in my opinion think they have bigger issues than the homeless hoard that has invaded Vallejo! Well, their wrong! When the city is given the ranking of 222nd place to raise a family, what does that tell you, COV!!!!!!!!!!!! The town, everywhere look has some type of homeless, garbage or squatting going on. I have tried at least 3 times to get a response from the city manager with pictures, and have not received one response! Sonoma blvd, garbage all the way into town, in the median, along both sides all the way from HWY37 to the Nissan dealership! This is what people see when they come into Vallejo, do you think they would keep it clean? NO! Their response to me is its CAL-TRANS property! Call them if you want it cleaned up! How lame of an excuse is that! I see now that some non profit group, house of acts, i think thats their name is cleaning up broadway from lewis brown drive to mini. Its much appreciated, after 3 months of reporting and being told it was the railroads responsibility! This city is full of too much BS and bureaucracy!

The homeless camp you are reporting i actually saw today when i went to starbucks to get a coffee! This town has lost control of this situation! These people are breaking the law and the city wont do anything about it! Benicia, Napa dont have this problem because they dont allow it! They may have some, not like Vallejo, total bum city of them, and more are coming everyday! VALLEJO=BUMSVILLE USA!!!!!!!!

Instead of dealing with the problem the city seems to always put it off on some other entity! Why cant they the city work with the police, the state the county to resolve these problems! You cant tell me that your that busy with these problems because the city look s like crap! Drive to sight mentioned, either arrest them for loitering tresspassing or illegal camping and move on. ITS THAT SIMPLE!!! The laws are on the books, ENFORCE THEM!!!!!! How many times must us citiuzens have to report the same old thing for the same old area! You people running this program are inept!

Hal, i have sent pictures of garbage 2 ft thick to the city and it comes with the same old answer, "we are investigating it" what part of the pictures i send do you need to investigate? Garbage, property owner, fine him, if not cleaned up! No time allowed to think about it, clean up your property!

Instead of venting this issue, maybe it is now time to call the City Manager and tell him our concerns. If that does not work, then maybe a call to the Mayor's office, or your favorite councilperson. If enough of us bombard their offices with phone calls, texts, email and even old fashion postal letters, maybe something will get done. In the meantime I agree with Morgan, lets boycott Starbuck's, and maybe even call them to reports this unacceptable situation.

Mr. Clean, as i stated in a previous comment, i have sent 3 emails with pictures from 3 different homeless camps to the city manager and received no response. Artsem , another concerned citizen went down to the city hall and was told it was not a priority and funding was not there to attack this hoard that has taken over our city. So if you feel going to the city will get something accomplished , good luck! They just dont CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You see, the filth and homelessness in this city are not only prohibiting new businesses from coming here but they are also affecting existing businesses. Vagrants camping near businesses cause the public to feel unsafe patronizing establishments and they often harass and intimidate people in addition to panhandling.
We need ACTION by the COV and VPD, not talk.

VPD doesnt act unless told to by the COV dignitaries, the heck with the laws on the books, they only apply to the taxpaying citizens of vallejo! The homeless have more rights than you and I and get away with every thing they do and dont do when it comes to the law!!!!!!!!!! Ranked 222nd and you wonder why! Just got got rejected for telling the truth 19 minutes ago!!!!!!!!!!

The homeless have no rights in my book especially when it tramps the rights of tax paying citizens.

And thank you hal for reopening the issue. Hopefully this will be a beginning to cleaning the area up as over the last couple of weeks especially the encampment seems to be growing and spreading and trash piling up.

Besides the encampment how about the murders and attempted murder. When I tell people I live in Vallejo the look on their faces says it all. Not all of us can just get up and get out. This town is in dire straights. Too much crime and not enough police.
