Description
On Joseph road which connect the main roads of water street and on the other side Bradford street to the main road. There is only 1 posted sign for a speed limit indicated at 20mps which is visible when u enter from water street into Joseph road. As u drive up Joseph and till you reach the end of it by Bradford there are no other signs posted for speed limit. Vehicles drive at accelarated speeds reaching close to highway speeds maybe cut through from joseph to avoid traffic or to reach faster roads around it. Joseph road has a lot of families with very young kids who tend to play outside and this is truly a hazard to all living on Joseph. More speed limit posting should be placed and perhaps concider a speed bump to reduce vehicles speeding up and down Joseph road.

The matter of missing signage will be brought to the attention of the Highway Department and their Sign Division. There are only two sections on Joseph Road that should be posted for 20MPH. The first is where Joseph Road intersects Water Street traveling for approximately 0.18 miles and then the second is at the curve between Nadine Road and Francine Road. Other than those two areas, Joseph Road is posted for 30MPH.
If you would like to install speed humps along this roadway, this matter would also need to be brought to the Traffic Commission. They can be contacted at (508) 532-5400 or at framinghamtraffic@gmail.com. Once on their agenda, the matter would be discussed and voted on whether to proceed with a speed study for a specific roadway. The Commission typically meets once a month on the first or second Tuesday of the month.
