Can I get something done on this?

The trail is maintained weekly under contract. The lower end of the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail (from the footbridge just north of MLK to Central City Park) is closed due to interstate construction.

Sorry, I've been out of town and didn't realize that I would have to follow up on this. It may be unfair to do this right after the rain and with leaves plummeting to the ground, but anyone can go out there and see. I will attach photos. Sand often covers and/or blocks the walk where the trucks come down from Spring St. Mud blocks the walk just before you get to the bridge where the trail is closed. There is a tree that has been beside the walk since Hurricane Michael. There is a broken bench with mud blocking the walk, etc.
On a hopeful note, mud has been cleared from the walk near where they are building bridge pylons, so I know this can be done.

Apparently I can only attach 1 image at a time. Some of this should be GDOT's responsibility and they should be made to keep our park in good shape.

We apologize for the inconvenience, we are working with GDOT to try and keep that section of the trail open as much as possible.

This complaint will be left open until Parks & Beautification starts maintaining this trail on a regular basis. It has been a week since flood waters receded, but the trail is still impassable to any reasonable person.
