Description
I live very close to the lake George bike trail on 122nd Street / Lake George Parkway. Today I witnessed a dog almost getting hit by a car. The dog was not on a leash and he ran away from his owner. Then I spotted the dog walking in the middle of the street. Also, the car was driving faster than the speed limit. Can you post a sign advising dog owners to keep their dogs on leashes? And can you tell the traffic department to lower the speed limit from 25 to 15 miles an hour.? There's always a lot of foot traffic on the path and on the street and I'm concerned for pedestrians and their pets . Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

I would like to suggest that the city gives all dog owners a list of these dog related ordinances whenever the dog owner goes and gets a yearly dog license from city hall. The list can also indicate that it is the dog owner's responsibility to clean up after their dog and to keep their dogs under control.
Too many dog owners seem ignorant of what is expected of them to be a responsible dog owner.
