Thank you for reporting this issue. The previous report stated that the bike was in the yard. The dockless bike share company has been notified of this concern. Please note that if the bike is inside the geofence and in a safe location the company is not required to retrieve it. The City will relocate or remove the bike from the public right-of-way or anywhere within the City each bicycle that is inoperable, unsafe, or otherwise failing to meet the standards set in the Ordinance. The dockless bike company has to follow the following requirements before the City will take action:

(1) Remove the bike within two hours of when operator becomes aware of or receives notice between 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., seven days per week, except a holiday observed by the closure of City offices; and

(2) Remove the bike within 12 hours of when operator becomes aware of or receives notice during all other times.

The Code Officer reported that the bike is on private property inside the geo fence in a safe location, and therefore not in violation. The officer is currently knocking on the door of 905 Pershing. It is unclear if the resident at 905 Pershing wants the bike removed, or if it is someone else. The officer will remain if front of 905 Pershing until 10:15 am if someone would like to speak with her.

The officer made one last attempt to make contact with the resident, then left a business card asking the residents to call.
