An elected official who should help with these problems

There is NO ALDER REPRESENTATIVE in The Hill!! It doesnt matter if you are Hill North or South! The individual to call and talk to is LT. Minardi, he is a terrific guy who is more than willing to help make life better for the few decent ppl left in the Hill. He is the Dist. Manager for both North and South. The Hill does not now nor since George Perez left has it had decent rep. on the BOA. Colon, Hurt and that other one are pointless.

@ Tommy, I am the one who filed a complaint with the A.D.A. who got the sidewalks on Sylvan fixed. I am also the one who worked with NH Farms to establish the community garden at Career High. The drug infestation of the area was greatly reduced at great sacrifice to myself by working with Lt. Minardi and several officers of Hill North. This initiative was responsible for several drug raids in houses in Hill North. I established a mentoring program targeted at young men aged 11-14 before they become victims of the street. Lt. Minardi, myself and several other involved residents of Hill North met at my urging and discussed and implemented this program and where it could be most effective. I canvassed neighborhoods and streets in Hill North asking people for their ideas. One of the most important aspects of this was every young man walked out with not only a library card but also a bank account. Ron Hurt, Delores Colon et al are Alders in name only. Show me what they have DONE for the good people of the Hill. Where is their initiative? They talk big they produce little. When we moved away from Hill North, I received many email messages from local police and residents thanking me for my efforts, telling me how much I will be missed. I will put my resume, my actions, my deeds up against anyone in the Hill. I will not comment again on this issue as I am not inclined to play @#$% for tat. This was not a name calling game for me. I let my actions speak for themselves.

I am sincerely sorry for the comments I posted above. I was not aware of the great things you have done for our community. I am convinced we are on the same team. I only posted the negative comments about you because your reported issue about the patients of the APT Foundation included extremely negative comments about them. A lot of those people are my personal friends and I'm doing my best to show them they can live happier lives without drugs.

Everyone knows their behavior is not in line with social etiquette, but they have had horrible upbringings with which they were not at fault.

It is obvious you are trying to make our city the most harmonious place it could be and you have succeeded at that very admirably. Unfortunately, the drug addicts are still around and they won't disappear by themselves. They just need a little more help finding a brighter side of life.

I am convinced they can be helped with a little more help from all of us.

Many addicts have been on the Methadone for years,some,decades..Let's mandate a time limit for using the program and discharge them.
