I agree especially the north bound MLK lane right at Sunset grill. To dangerous without arrow. They also need to inspect lines going south bound at this intersection. Now that two lanes curve into a one lane most cars almost get clipped sitting at that light do to the lane shift of southbound mlk traffic. We need a more significant LINE as cars cross intersection southbound to the cars making a left to go westbound on 30th ave N.

The signals for the northbound and southbound left turn lanes allow permissive left turns as was the case prior to the lane rearrangement on Martin Luther King Jr. St. southbound. The signals are well placed directly in front of the turn lanes, the left turn lanes themselves are sufficiently long to hold several automobiles and the length of time the signals are green is sufficiently long to clear traffic on most occasions. I have asked the City's Transportation Department if a study was done prior to the change that would indicate a need for protected left turns; I have not received an answer as yet. If one was not done, I will ask it be done to see if protected left turns are warranted. Please bear in mind that protected left turns will add more delay to the both the northbound and southbound movements. I am reassigning the pavement marking issue back to Pavement and Traffic for review.

I had to honk my horn just today to avoid an oncoming car hitting my car while I was waiting to turn left onto 30th ave. I feel like a sitting duck!!! The oncoming traffic has to shift and the cars come SO close while you wait to turn left. It is so dangerous.
This whole project is a disaster and the city has an endless supply of explanations but they do not drive these streets every day.
Traffic on MLK is now backed up every day since it was taken down to one lane. Last Friday night the traffic was backed up from the light at 22nd ave N all the way back to 26th ave N.

Oh my, the Mayor's Action Center has actually acknowledged there is an issue. I reported that the entire traffic flow makes no sense, have barely missed being hit, saw a biker in danger and saw a three car accident..NO ANSWER. Let's make the traffic flow a bit more difficult please so you can get your bonus points for making the city look like it cares. Or, maybe we should just take the cars off the road!!
