Description

On both the East and West bound sections of I-80 by the airport there are the speed bump protrusions that have been there off and on for two years now.

I also reported these things 2 or 3 times over the past 2 years. 3 out of the 6 got fixed by the contractor. UDOT needs to force contractors to be liable. I was told it was swelling because of the heat and it would be level when it cooled down. I think an average overnight temp of 40 for the past month and an average daytime high of 55 does NOT qualify for heat. Please fix this UDOT. It is hell on alignments, tires and suspensions. not to mention my back and kidneys.

I've wondered what their purpose is, too. It doesn't seem they're speed bumps, but they're very annoying and jarring.

what is the status of the fix on these? no responses are USELESS. This webpage is useless unless you use it to take information to get things fixed and then a simple communication back to Johnny Public would be awful respectful and nice of you.

Crews have started repair work on WB I-80 bridges over the Jordan River Surplus Canal. This work will require a long-term lane closure for the next four months. You can find additional information about this project at http://www.udot.utah.gov/renovate-I-80/

Becky,
these protrusions are no where near the canal. Take a quick drive from I-215 to 5600 west and you will see what we are talking about . There are three in each direction.
