Description
Now that the lanes have been shifted on S Walter Reed to accommodate the bridge repairs in between Four Mile Run and Arlington Mill, lane lines need to be painted ACROSS the intersection of Walter Reed and Four Mile Run--now the LEFT lane on Walter Reed on the east side of the intersection visually lines up with the RIGHT lane of Walter Reed on the west side of the intersection (next to the Shell station). People who are in the left lane going down the hill tend to stay straight, the end up in what is now the right lane after they cross the intersection. This forces people who were in the right lane to brake or merge into the lane they should rightfully be in. The county needs to paint dotted white lines connecting both sides of Walter Reed across Four Mile Run Drive so drivers understand the lane shift.
