This has been a problem property for some time (over 2 years) unpermitted work on roof and windows. Poorly maintained yard. Cars parked in front yard.

This issue should not be closed. As I write this message, I am standing near the area that I reported. The parkways on 9th street and Victoria, all four corners up to the alley, are in relatively the same condition as when I made the report. As far as the building structure upgrades, someone on one of the properties directly across the street from Victoria Park is doing a good job at improvement, however, “nothing” has been done in regards to weed control and landscape maintenance. It isn’t a matter of water conservation, it’s a matter of “no” landscaping at all. Slow progress is tolerable, but no progress is intolerable. The condition of this property affects my property. I work very hard at keeping it clean, maintained and continue with my cosmetic upgrades. Please address this issue with diligence! Thank you!

I agree with Jim, the house at 817 S. Howard has zero landscaping, just dirt and it looks horrible. It’s bad enough when the city takes out trees on this street and does not replace them, then you add the homeowners who ignore their yards. It makes the neighborhood look blighted. Please fix Howard Street!

What is the status of this?

The property that I reported has taken care of their areas. I hope that a regular maintenance schedule will continue. Thank you Code Enforcement for handling this. Let's hope that next time I put a note on the door of a property inhabitant, they will listen to my request and prevent Code Enforcement from having to step in.
