sidewalks on both sides of Main are barricaded for construction. same is true on Mcgowen between main and travis, and the entire block around the new high-rise going up between Main and Fannin. conditions are unsafe for able-bodied and handicapped pedestrians: car and rail traffic in two directions. this location is in close proximity to the mcgowen light rail stop; Metro users are forced into the street and the rail right-of way - or forced to walk a full four blocks out of the way. at least one sidewalk on main must be re-opened to address this very dangerous situation.
