Well, a new year and still no idea when they will be clearing the roadway. Is it so much for someone from the city to at least post a sign as to how long this will remain?

I have been taking this route for 5+ years and amazed at how long this project is taking.

The obstruction is evidence of work in progress below grade. The hole in the road is to provide access for equipment and materials used for the construction of a replacement water main running east-west through much of the city. How do I know? I read it on a posted sign board. As far an inconvenience goes, there is very little; only southbound traffic is rerouted by a no-left turn, and that is easily avoided by travelling to Dundas where there is a left arrow. Where exactly is the purgatory? We could of course give up on the new water main tunnel and instead go to the village well and carry buckets of water. I live in the neighbourhood and travel this road regularly and see no justification for this list of complaints. If you want to complain, find a just cause.

The obstruction is gone, and as this issue is four years stale, I'll close this off now.
