Thank you for using SeeClickFix. VPD's Traffic Division is responsible for handling all abandoned vehicle reports on streets and public property and they do not monitor this forum.
Please be prepared to provide the following information:
- Vehicle make
- Vehicle color
- License plate number
- Location of the vehicle
- Info about why the vehicle appears abandoned
Currently, there is a backlog of reports on the abandoned vehicle list, and providing detailed information to ONE of the approved reporting tools will help the Traffic Division more efficiently investigate reports given their reduced resources.
I choose the category of homeless encampment/squatters because that’s what this is, and would be in addition to the oversized vehicle parked on the street. I have long since given up on reporting anything to parking division until there is a boat in saying that they are well staffed and returning to enforcement on a regular basis instead of semi annual sweeps.
As you can see they have changed the posting from homeless encampment/squatters- to abandon vehicle on public property and referred me to the traffic division black hole.
So they close the SU up, and I’m not inclined to re-opening or contact traffic division. Just going to continue documenting Vallejo’s failure to maintain the streets.
Please tow or at least cite for not current registration and most likely no insurance etc. before this also becomes property or personal damage to someone else.
