If you put a three way stop the Timberview Community would never get be able to get out of their road

That's a good point, but there has to be a compromise somehow. Possibly a 'Do not block street' sign with a painted white line? As it is now, getting out of or into your community in the evening must be difficult.

How about a roundabout? that would work better. There is plenty of room because 15 foot off the street is county property that would make it wide enough.

That would be a great permanent solution, but seeing as a traffic light has been proposed for year and no action taken, I can't imaging a roundabout being installed any time in the near future. I suggested a 3 way stop as that would be the cheapest and quickest option to alleviate the problem.

It really should be fixed right the first time. Cheap and quick isn't necessarily the right way to go.

It would be an interim fix until a long term solution can be found. It is a really dangerous intersection right now.

do you realize how backed up Montgomery Rd would be. Landing road has so much less traffic, but all would have to stop. Your driveway sits on Montgomery Rd. at that intersection. Is that why?

I don't live near that intersection, but I drive through it daily. There is a reason why there are a number of requests for a traffic signal there. There have been quite a few near accidents for people turning left from Landing onto Montgomery.

A request has been sent to Howard County DPW Bureau of Engineering to investigate the feasibility of intersection geometry improvement. At this moment, the traffic counts do not warrant either a signal nor multiway stop control at this intersection.
