This morning, it took almost 5 minutes just to get through the stop light at First and Windsor.

The timing on this light is not correct for proper traffic flow.

The light stays green long enough for all of the eastbound and westbound traffic on Windsor to pass through the intersection. There’s never any sort of a backup to the east or west. No problems there.

However, the light does not stay green long enough for northbound traffic on First to get through the light. As a result, traffic heading north backs up for a quarter of a mile to the south of the intersection, just trying to get through the intersection. This morning, people were creating an additional hazard by turning around, and going back to the south, due to the wait.
