  Thank you for letting us know. The Board of Health is looking into this complaint. Violation notices were sent in the past and I will update once I get more information from the Board of Health.

  This mess in no longer just "in hiding." New cars/occupants arrive weekly, and now they have enormous piles of trash, broken furniture, etc on both sides of their yard. Not to mention they park large company vehicles and machinery on their front lawn everyday. Deplorable ~ would never be allowed to have gone unaddressed/fixed for this long if these complaints were coming from Westwood Estates.

  This issue has been going on for way to long, complaints to the town officials have rendered NO RESULTS or solutions and it maybe time to see if the Department of Environment Protection could be involved in this matter.The town has not put its' powers to be to resolve this. Who knows what waste there is be dumped , there are old triers , home furnishings what what ever. If the town can go around cleaning and trying to beautify areas of the town , what is the problem with this site?????

  I have been out to this property and have mailed a correction order to the owner. Unfortunately, the owner is a bank and there are people living in the house and we’re having trouble getting anyone to take responsibility for maintaining the property. I spoke to Michael Castro (the deceased former owner’s son) and he said he does not live there and told me someone living there was named Philip, but would not give me any other information. I tried to get the Attorney General’s office involved, but they can’t help if there are occupants in the house. I will try calling Federal National Mortgage Association today and see if I can speak to anyone regarding this property.

  I thank you for your response but as stated in my comments earlier how long does issue go on. There is trash over flowing into neighboring properties and it still keeps growing larger. I am not shooting the messenger but there has to be some sort of recourse to resolve this issue. My question is what use is there to here this regulation and codes against illegal dumping if nothing can be done?

  The constant run off and drainage from both the yard and the PVC pipes they have draining from their second floor (?laundry room) into the street is going directly into the drains that feed into Lake Como.

  I imagine the wildlife/conservation agencies would not approve of this.

  Well here it is 11/13/2019 and as you can see by the pictures the trash that was dumped illegally is still there. I reported it 7 months ago. Now that the leaves are falling off the trees you can see the trash from Heather Street. Any idea as to when this trash is going to be cleaned up? Thank You.
