the left turn arrow in the direction towards Durham switches from Green to red. in the afternoons when there is little traffic towards chapel Hill and a lot of traffic towards Durham a blinking yellow for the turn would be most welcome

At this moment, NCDOT has not approved flashing yellow arrows for E Franklin left turns.
However, the Town will return and review this intersection for performance.

The Town does not have set timeline, as the Town will need to review traffic during and out of school. So it may be into fall semester for UNC.
Any change would still require NCDOT approval.
