Description

Cars speed down this street ALL THE TIME. This is a problem the police are well aware of, and they once told me that they would have a car there more frequently in the mornings. I have never seen a police car watching for speeders on our street. It is particularly disconcerting, due to the high number of pedestrians on this street due to several businesses and a preschool. The sidewalk is very close to the street and it would be very easy for a kid (or an adult) to trip and land in the street. The speed limit should really be 20 here, especially because of the school. In addition, there should absolutely be several speed bumps to slow people down. I understand that this is an issue all over town, but it is very crucial in our neighborhood that it gets addressed because of the proximity of the sidewalk to the street and the narrow streets themselves. Residents have been complaining for years about this but it doesn't really seem to matter. Thank you.
