This type of request, installation of a speed table on a public way, is the type of request that in Chelsea, by virtue of its Charter, can only be determined by the Traffic & Parking Commission. That Commission meets monthly. It's next scheduled meeting is December 11. Because such tables require significant infrastructure investment, the Traffic Commission has granted such requests only sparingly. However, if you and your neighbors feel strongly about this issue, you should get on the Traffic & Parking Commission's agenda to discuss.
