You're right. Given that some city agencies lack the funds to address this problem, and others blithely ignore it, I guess it is up to the public to chip in to pay the cost. A tragedy, but this is Vallejo.

A Vallejo “Go Fund Me” page? That’s some real Participatory Bugeting, stop paying City taxes and only fund what you want....

Another idea would be for someone to start a business dismantling and recycling/scrapping RVs/Campers in a sustainable way in order to sell parts like engines for reuse and salvage as much steel/aluminum l for scrap sales.
I know there is not financially feasible, but perhaps it could be partially government subsidized to cover the losses therefore making an incentive for towing companies to tow away RVs and for the city to aggressively enforce and impound these oversized junk vehicles.

Does Vallejo have any towing companies that contract with the city to tow away RVs?

I'm sure Vallejo has to contract out for towing services, as I don't think there is a City owned tow truck.

Tow companies make a fortune off these vehicles in fees and parts. Check out the cost of a tow-and-store in Vallejo. This is posted by a tow company, right?

I have the same thoughts as anon user above, but include abandoned cars all over this city. Why not make some money rather than blight? Tow the cars, contact last reg owner, if they dont pay and pick up, scrap it for cash. Seems like a win/win to me.

I am in NO WAY condoning the appearance of and around many of these RV's & I agree that the garbage that seems to accumulate around a lot ( not all) of them is horrible, but I cant help but notice that not a single comment showed ANY concern or possible solutions regarding the "human" beings that actually occupy some of these "oversized junk vehicles" as the closest thing they've had to a home since their tent full of all their belongings we bulldozed down.
Just thought THEY were worth mentioning.

How about the City of Vallejo cease offering hundreds of thousands of taxpayer funds to contract outside consultant(s) to do market research on "whatever"?
