  We share the comments mentioned above. At night and especially if it is raining the painted lines become invisible and adds to the dangers on the road. The need for repainting is urgent.

  Thank you for sharing your experiences about lane markings on Commerce Drive. A plan for reconfiguration of Commerce Drive in this area has been produced and is currently in the bidding process. Fresh lane markings will be part of this coming project in the near future.

  I understand there is a project to rework Commerce Dr. but my opinion is that the situation is too serious to be put off any longer. Can't be that expensive to repaint the existing lines now and not wait for the future project. Avoiding one serious accident is worth the cost.

  The same issue was raised here on 4/27/18. At that time, the answer was the same: that restriping would occur as part of a larger project. Over seven months later, this situation is more dangerous than ever. Commerce is busy with cars AND must be crossed by northside Decatur students walking to and from FAVE, Renfroe, DHS every day. Someone is going to get hurt. This should be handled immediately.

  I'd like to see more feedback from the City. When are you going to fix this? I don't think telling us it will be fixed i n another project like JLLH pointed out you did in April, is an adequate response. Who is responsible for this fix now?

  Thank you for your comments. The Commerce Cycle Track project will address the striping issue from Clairemont Avenue to W. Trinity Place. This project is scheduled to start at the end of April 2019, weather permitting.
