Elizabeth place and Hines Terrace recieve a large amount of thru traffic, being that they are both the first streets/block off of Vineville Avenue and Pierce Avenue. My home is directly facing Elizabeth Place on Hines Terrace. We have had numerous occasions where thru drivers cut down our street to avoid the traffic signals and they come flying down the street without regards to residential speed limits. Our neighborhood is very active, we have walkers,joggers, families walking dogs, families with small children, families that walk their small children to the baptist church for daycare, events, as well as many families using the church’s playground as a neighborhood park. I personally have had people come close to hitting me, my children or my vehicle when trying to enter my car or pull in/out of the drive way. I would like to request the installation of two stop signs at the intersection of Elizabeth Place and Hines Terrace. There is already a stop sign at the end of Elizabeth, adding two in junction with the current, making it a three way stop, I feel would help to greatly reduce the hazard of speeding and thru traffickers.
