@geoffsdad.......
Welcome to Albuquerque. This is precisely why I will never purchase another home or property in this city. When we move, it is to another jurisdiction or more likely another state entirely. There is no point in wasting money on property here when the city will do nothing to protect resident's investments. It didn't USED TO BE like this here. At one time, the city actually held some decency and was moving in the right direction. But now, anything goes and it's your problem.
I live in Hoffmantown, not far from you, and we have similar issues here. Zoning has blacklisted me and my complaining. What's worse, is, so many neighbors are less on my side than theirs. I mean...notot enough people complain about these things so the city doesn't feel the need to take up resources based on one or two people's complaints. They figure, if they don't like it, then they can leave. And I will. And when I do, the successors to my home will likely be more zoning violators because after all, who is going to move into a neighborhood with trash like this all over?
This seems to be acceptable to the city and my neighbors so I will capitalize on it to the best of my ability and focus on my personal prosperity elsewhere.
Yet again, WAY TO GO, ALBUQUERQUE! As if we aren't already on the bottom of enough lists.....not addressing issues like this is the sure way to maintain that status and continue downward.
