Asst. Director of Public Works your boss the Director assigned this issue to you on 12/8/18. Are you waiting for the year anniversary or your pink slip ? I would get on this ,asap.
I do not handle pot holes!!! That is generated by the system then handed down to whomever it is in charge of making the repairs.
But if you are more specific with the location of your request I would be happy to make sure it gets done!!!
From what you entered it does not appear to be in Hamden, we do not make Any repairs on east rock.
There appears to be a small misunderstanding here. I believe this reported issue was supposed to be about road conditions around Everit Street and East Rock Road in NEW HAVEN. The street reported above reads, "Evert" which does not exist in New Haven. That is why the location defaulted to the top of East Rock Park which is in Hamden resulting in this issue being assigned to Hamden. I hope this information helps... Cheers!
If you do not handle potholes ,why does it say this was assigned to you on 12/8/18. You should have then assigned this request & followed up to make sure this issue was taken care of. Remember you are a public servant, if you are higher up in the food chain it is incumbent on you to make sure things are taken care of in a timely manner. Ignoring a problem & hoping it will go away is not a solution. Remember this is an election year and there are many unhappy citizens out there. Now that you know where to go, I suggest you finally do something concrete about this issue before there is an accident.
Hi XYZ,
You realize the "Asst Director Public Works" in the string of comments above is not employed with New Haven, right? He or she is with Public Works in Hamden. In the future, it might be a good idea to report issues using the correct address. When you reported this issue, you failed to ensure it was reported correctly. You chose an address in Hamden. I hope this information helps.
Tommy, Thank you for the clarification. I did not know that this was the Assistant Director of Public Works for Hamden. I thought this was a New Haven issue and a New Haven Street. It would have been nice if the Hamden Director contacted his counterpart in New Haven so that this issue would not have moldered here since 12/8/18. A little communication is a good thing.
Tommy
Evert and Everit, I was off by one letter. I do realize that the person replying was not an employee of New Haven. I feel that once he realized that the problem was not in Hamden he should have let New Haven know
