This is a major issue in our neighborhood! The police should be set out periodically to ticket these offenders. You will find the most offenders in the evenings and weekends. Some streets have people parked in both sides and on bends in the road. Major safety issue!

The green Honda Civic never appears to move. Morning, afternoon, night, it's there! These violators are constantly getting away with blocking the roads. This morning, I saw two cars double parked even though next door to the house was a guest parking lot. It's madness!

What is the status of this issue? Are car owners being cited, or has it been forgotten about?

Just received an email that it has been 90 days since my post. Considering nothing appears to have been done, and cars are still blocking the roads, I'd say it's far from closed.

P.S. Almost got into an accident this weekend as there was a car blocking the road and the jerk coming in the other direction went around said car at a high speed, almost striking me.

I responded to this location (1490 SW 85 Terr) today at 1300 hours to assess the situation. Although there were three cars parked along the side of the road, no enforceable violations of state statute or city ordinance were observed.
In an effort to more effectively address traffic concerns within the community and to educate citizens on enforceability, I would urge interested parties to contact the police department at the time that an issue is observed. This would allow police to take any possible actions at that time, to include educating concerned parties about our city ordinance and state statute, as well as discuss enforceability. Additionally, they can contact the Traffic Unit to explore options on solving traffic concerns within their community for future occurrences. The Traffic Unit can be reached at 954-438-4357.

This occurs throughout the entire community, not just at this location. I submitted my initial post years ago.

I communicated with Captain Thomas Maher about a year after I moved in and although he stated patrol would increase, the situation remains the same and has in fact, gotten worse. Weekends are a mess and it's a miracle there aren't accidents on a daily basis.

We had a large HOA meeting about a year or two back with PPPD. In a nutshell, we were politely told to deal with it. Definitely frustrating as a homeowner that I comply with ordinances, am respectful of my neighbors and keep a low profile, only to have inconsiderate jerks abusing.

Thank you for coming out. Responding to this location on one occasion is not going to fully assess the issue though. This is a constant, ongoing situation that has actually worsened. This is in fact hazardous. On weekends, when the roads are a mess and most congested due to the excessive amount of vehicles parked along the side of the road, our streets are obstructed from being able to move and pass safely. I'm sure you can agree this is a hazard, no? Experiencing this ongoingly, I'm sure you can also understand this is frustrating. The situation has not improved. As a concerned homeowner also seeking a resolution to this ongoing situation, it would be necessary to come out and respond to this location often (on more than on one single occasion). Even if this means we have to contact regularly to initiate for it and have increased patrol take place, which has not happened, as we were told from meetings it would. I will absolutely be contacting the Traffic unit to explore options to solving these traffic concerns. This will be necessary to reach a solution, as nothing has changed to improve this issue. It is apparent that the homeowners will have to take action on this matter in an effort to more effectively address this specific traffic concern within the community. The goal is to improve and resolve the hazardous traffic situation effectively, with your help. Please do kindly educate us as well, as this would be beneficial and appreciated. I have to agree with Cristina, that some of us comply with ordinances and are respectful of our neighbors and neighborhood, the majority do not. It is true, that it is only a miracle there have not been accidents on a daily basis. This situation is only worsening, and it is only a matter of time before citizens suffer harm as a result.

If a service request description is required for any action to be taken, they why is it not a mandatory field when an issue is reported?

Unresolved issues don't go away because people get tired of complaining to deaf ears.

Maybe someone needs to open a ticket to fix the SeeClickFix system.
