I don't believe it is the fault of the garbage company, but rather a trashy neighbor taking advantage. This person is placing the debris in the street on PURPOSE. It is happening morw frequently. Is there a way to take note as to whom is committing this offense. I have my suspicions.

I don't subscribe to the notion that it was waste management because this trash was left prior to collection. Secondly it is a resident within the area and they need to be charged or spend some time in jail for illegal dumping. It has become their habit of dumping debris in the neigborhood. I wouldn't be surprised if they are the same people who regularly dumped trash at the bottom of the hill of Louisiana street.

Makkedah, you are correct that we have a neighbor who drops whole sacks of garbage out on our street from time to time. However, in this instance, I'm complaining that I regularly need to walk the street picking up items of trash spilled from bins, sometimes my own!

Of course, in addition to sloppy garbage collection, we also have the scavengers who dump out and go through our recycling, without picking up after themselves -- a city-wide crime that I have been told (by both Recology and City employees) our police department clearly observes but refuses to act upon.

Oh dear, did I mention the police department? Am I censored again? Can you say "Vallejo Police State"?

121 days OPEN you say, and you want to close it. Well, yesterday, trash pick up day, I walked my block, picking up spilled trash, some of it from my own garbage and recycling bin. So, no thanks, I don't want to close the case.

Better get on the horn and let Recology know.
