I emailed the day before posting this. But more emails from more people will help.

Please remove this ASAP . The car doors are now open so people are accessing it and would prefer it moved ASAP before other illegal activity besides just dumping of the vehicle starts to occur here.

ASAP with the 6 person staff a abandoned auto means 5 to 10 weeks depending on your police beat to get a 72 hour tow tag.

David is correct on the timeline for removal. FYI, Abandoned Auto starting Jan 1st will not accept email or phone reports. All reports will have to go through Oak311.

This will only work if the PWD /311 call center does there job. I am not holding my breath. In 2015 there were more than 20,000 reports of abandoned vehicles in Oakland this year the number is expected to go past 30,000. Yes there are duplicates but this is not fixing the issue of all these dumped wrecked, stolen and hit and run vehicles.
