PG&E has finished the gas lines over month ago. Sidewalk West corner Glen Cove and Benicia still unfinished, with orange caution tape & poles . All 4 corner lights still flashing red.

The Engineering Division, Public Works Department, is working with PG&E to schedule restoration of the traffic signal to its original condition, as per their excavation permit. The permit will not be finaled until restoration is complete. Currently the traffic signal is on the appropriate timer settings for the conditions on-site. We will provide an update when available. Will PG&E address the sidewalk too?

This issue is still unresolved as of 1/30/19.

During work to repair a high-pressure gas main at the intersection of Rollingwood Dr and Benicia Rd, it was necessary to remove the signal mast-arm on the southwest corner of the intersection. To provide the minimum required clearance of the gas main casing and concrete cover, the mast-arm and signal pole foundation must be relocated further south of its original location. This requires a longer mast-arm, larger signal pole, and larger foundation per state standard. The design and construction phase for this installation will take several months, and the intersection will continue to operate as a four-way stop. We understand and apologize for this extended period of inconvenience and City staff are committed to working with PG&E to expedite the project phases.
