Thank you for sharing your experiences about lane markings on Church Street. A plan has been developed for modifications to Church Street between Commerce Drive and Forkner Drive at the City limits. Currently, right-of-way is being acquired to enable implementation of this plan. Some striping on Church Street was recently refreshed in a temporary manner that is expected to last until construction commences. Church Street north of Forkner Drive is outside the City of Decatur. Comments about areas outside the City can be directed the DeKalb Roads & Drainage Department.

My understanding based upon maps published by the City of Decatur is that the Northern boundary is not Forkner Drive, but actually the Church Street branch of Peachtree Creek (just north of Keswick Place). Please clarify and consider this in future plans.

Simply put, can your repaint the lane lines on Church St between Ponce and N Decatur Rd?

Acquiring right of way and doing construction will take a good bit of time.
I depend on lane demarcations for safe driving. This is important to do now. Please!
