Two many people have had trouble to turning into or out of Route five in this area for so many years. We need a trafic light here before someone gets hurt!
A better way to correct this issue, and maybe improve traffic flow, would be to make Broad Street a one way. If it is a one way, to the railroad track, that would be North, exiting from Tops and others would be directed to Main Street. Traffic South, on Broad, would turn before the track and right on Main/46. A light would only bind traffic even worst than it is now.
I have to agree that a stop is needed on Broad St and Route 5. It is the worst intersection in Oneida. If you need to get onto Route 5 at noon time or 3:30 just forget it. I wish someone would do something.
