Sidewalk gap on Green at Narrow Gauge looking south.

The city of Ann Arbor purchased a parcel of land for Narrow Gauge Park, at the south end of Green Rd. A portion of this land was part of The Forest subdivision. The Forest Subdivision plat shows a sidewalk on the east side of Green Rd. south of Narrow Gauge Way. Since the city purchased the land the platted sidewalk has not been built and children from The Forest have to walk in the street for the portion of the unconstructed sidewalk. We urge the city to build the sidewalk that is specified on the plat of the land they purchased to increase safety for children going to school.

New sidewalk was installed on the east side of Green Rd. between Narrow Gauge Way and Greenleaf Rd., along Narrow Gauge Way Park, in October 2019.
