Q. Please describe the issue
A. This issue of barking dogs has been going on for several years. I have talked to the neighbor about this many times. They have reduced the amount of time they leave the dogs out but with 4 dogs it’s still not enough especially in the early am. I try to understand but as I am retired I am not happy being woken at 5-6 am especially during the warmer weather when I’d like to be able to have my bedroom window open for fresh air. Another issue and more important is the dogs getting out of their yard. Last summer I heard about a neighbor being bit by one of the dogs. And just this past Sunday I witness 2 of the dogs get out not once but twice and attack people walking their dogs past the property. The dogs not only tried to bite the other dogs but also tried to bite the people walking their leashed dogs on the city sidewalk. I don’t know if this was reported by these people but I did notify the police but not sure if they responded. If this issue is not addressed and the owners take responsibility for this situation I’m afraid someone else will get attacked again. The next time may be more serious and someone gets really hurt by these dogs. The attacks happened on the corner of Burnett Rd and Lafond Dr. I believe the address of the dogs owner is 11 Lafond Dr It is a blue house. Thank you for addressing this problem.
