No point in continuing to share information or appealing to the empathy of Vallejo residents. Without providing the homeless population any real assistance THIS PROBLEM CAN ONLY GROW AND BECOME WORSE IN VALLEJO. As long as the CoV refuses to grasp this reality or listen to reason...I’ll simply add a smiley face whenever I see. these posts 😂
And maybe they really don’t care whether or not you care, and will continue to survive (as they have been) by any means necessary. Your the one complaining ...not them.
Another tent has been installed this morning. This problem is escalating rapidly. We need City response immediately. I would like to personally visit the city office to discuss a resolution. Who and where is the contact person for these issues?
Even though the mailing address is 555 Santa Clara, the community service offices and code enforcement are both located at 2 Florida st. Ask for Christina.
I’m glad to see another person taking the initiative to go down and get the answer directly from the source. Perhaps when you’re done you can relay the information that you get from community services. As they are not allowed to make comments and personal remarks on see click fix, they are required to stick to the “canned” responses. With so many people asking the same questions over and over, anytime I get information from them I posted here. There’s nothing to prevent citizens from passing along information on this site.
Dee, what a petulant response. My post was about them not caring. I don't expect someone whom doesn't care about living in filth etc. to care what I or others say. I find that so obvious. Most of your posts are about us not caring enough. You earn respect, not demand it is what I am referring to about the "littering" homeless. Comprehension and growth is not your friend. Click fix was better with out your unproductive needless drama.
Obviously all you care about is yourself. Guess what? Im not uour friend either,, so why are you constantly attempting to interact with me and so concerned with my opinions? If you dont like hearing others opinions, please feel free to follow your friends William and Watching out.😳

As far as the carts, get a load of the City Codes for the removal and abatement plan:

I have to assume this is another unenforced set of codes due to lack of staff.
I think you were correct the the PD has been instructed to lay off the homeless population and to turn a blind eye. I don’t know whether it’s due to the lack of resources available them or bc of the PD’s skeleton crew. So many petty crimes are going unaddressed in Vallejo (i.e., Package/Mail theft; Stolen vehicles; Car burglaries; Vandalism; etc.,). They only seem to respond to violent crimes and felonies now. Anything else requires coming in to file a report and nothing happens beyond that, we definitely don’t need more laws but what we may need are more police... In addition to alternatives for for the indigent.
