Speed bumps on Ashland Road.
Since the speed bumps were installed on Ashland Road, we have gradually noticed that drivers are once again ignoring the 25 MPH speed limit. Driving down from New Providence they continue their speeds of anywhere from 35 to 45 MPH then rapidly braking to travel over the bumps and then accelerate once again (some don't even slow for the bumps at all).
Thank you to the Summit police for today (1/13/19) enforcing the speed limit and stopping cars that are speeding!
Please, please continue this good work, especially during the morning and evening rush hours. This continuing enforcement should cause drivers to finally become aware of the limits and hopefully slow their speeds.
