There is a very dangerous series of damaged roadway on El Camino in the approach to the right turn lane of Santa Cruz. I got a one inch gash on the side of my tire that is not repairable.

It is utterly ridiculous that this has NOT been fixed !!!!!!!!!!
At a minimum, there should be either an Orange Cone, or Yellow Tape, or White paint - but to do nothing is embarrassing and irresponsible.

As I understand it everything having to do with a state highway, in this case Hwy 82 (El Camino Real passing through our part of the Peninsula) can ONLY be addressed by CalTrans. The City of MP has zero jurisdiction on such matters. Pavement, signals, signage, medians along that road, while certainly within the city limits, are actually off limits to city staff as far as maintenance.
For the individual who would like to make a damage claim there is a CalTrans site for that:
https://dot.ca.gov/online-services/submit-damage-claim
For anyone reporting El Camino maintenance or safety issues directly to CalTrans (since the city can only relay such reports indirectly to CalTrans on your behalf) try this interface:
https://csr.dot.ca.gov/
I've used that maintenance reporting site for ECR/Hwy82, I-280 and Hwy 101 issues. It does work. Speed varies.
