Description
Worst this situation has been. Actual bank of icy snow this morning. I skidded into oncoming lane at curve. Someone is going to have a SERIOUS accident here.

This fall, that has been recorded as the wettest in history, has resulted in road and property flooding in areas that have not previously experienced flooding. This is occurring across Wilton and the neighboring communities. One of the consequences is that some roads are having water seepage that can freeze and create potentially hazardous conditions.
One of the roads where this is occurring is Cannon Road. I have heard from a number of people that this water flow started before the wet fall but after construction in the area started. Because of the repeated comments, my office will go back and review all of the documents associated with the construction to determine if there is something obvious happening. We will review any documents from P&Z and the Building Department as well as our own DPW records.
At some point, we may need to look at the properties themselves. I have no way of knowing whether the comments made are anecdotal or factual, but given the number of times that I have heard them, it would be irresponsible of me to ignore them.
