Again, just yesterday I witnessed a driver nearly plow over a pedestrian legally crossing at this intersection. The aggressive driver even honked at the pedestrian despite the pedestrian's right of way. Painted crosswalks and an indicator light for pedestrians would greatly improve safety when crossing at this intersection. There isn't even a proper marking on Magazine or Tudor that allows space for pedestrians to cross in front of stopped cars at the light. The wide open nature of the intersection really makes it hazardous to cross in all directions.

Is there any way to bump this at least for an acknowledgement? Thanks.

Just wanted to note that it's been nearly a month and a half since this was assigned and it has yet to be acknowledged. Every single day I see people scurry across this intersection trying desperately not to be hit by cars. Every single day I see people run this red light. It is a dangerous intersection and I strongly feel like better labeling would avoid the many accidents and near accidents that occur here.

I appreciate that we have this forum to express our concerns. But while we're seeing DGS complete an extraordinary number of tasks, almost all of the traffic concerns of the Eagle Hill Neighborhood are being ignored. I realize these are more complex issues than code violations and tree trimming, but it would be appreciated if an effort was made to work with the community to solve these very important traffic problems. The safety, well-being and livability of our community depend on it.

This was reported over two months ago, assigned and never acknowledged. Even, like with many other traffic engineering issues, nothing is going to be done, please at least let us know so we can pursue other avenues to correct these issues. I do appreciate that these are more complex issues than tree-trimming, but if the APD could at least manage our expectations it would be greatly appreciated.

This is such a nice service and a convenient way to report issues. Such a shame that a couple like this. the Hazelhurst/Homestead intersection and the noise at 16 Homestead are left as is

All of the traffic signals along Western Avenue will be upgraded/replaced as part of the project that will begin late summer 2014 and completed late 2015. At that time Pedestrain signals, count down timers and push buttons will be installed. City crews will be installing crosswalks on Western Avenue as time permits.
