Thank you for contacting UDOT. This signal runs different sets of coordinated timing plans in the morning, midday, and evening time periods and on weekends. These plans prioritize flow along the major corridor to minimize the number of stops for the higher volume of vehicles. At this signal, this not only includes north/south Bangerter but also westbound 10400 South, which has very heavy PM traffic and needs the time is has. These priorities may cause some delay for other movements. To give the eastbound left more time means taking it from somewhere. There just isn't a movement that has time to give.
