Why did the Mayor's Office assign this to the Electrical Department?

This issue reflects a citywide problem. The hard-working plow operators are not properly trained to keep snow out of sidewalks, crosswalks, and access areas for hydrants. This is especially important on pedestrian routes to schools, like this one. Our children should never be forced to walk in traffic because of misplaced street snow.

Department of Public Services will review this request. We are working currently to complete any snow related items submitted during this past storm. We request all further request for snow related services be submitted to snow@salem.com.
