Dangerous situations should be reported by phone immediately to public safety 203 946-6316 a delay can be fatal. You can then post to alert others and to have a record it was phoned in. Your post should mention it was called in.

It was called in as soon as we discovered it, and UI promptly came and fixed the wires. But the downed tree is still frozen to the side of the street and sticking out into the roadway, where it's been hit more than once.

Thank you for your report. As of our 9pm update from UI it was still to be assigned. Until we have "safe" clearance from them we can not dispatch crews. I will circle back for confirmation on make safe status.

I just called public safety, which I feel will provide a faster solution.

Crew received the clearance directly. Cleanup reported as completed.
