Supposedly the county sent him a registered letter, now with this latest complaint I am positive it was never done. I believe the police should be approached at this point to call on this home owner directly. County roads will not do it.

As a follow up, Inspections and Permits visited the site on 1/17/19, and found no discharge near property. The inspector closed the case.

While you visited the site on 1/17/19, the discharge didn't appear until the weekend, after the visit and with the extreme cold temperatures. If you visit now, the rain and warmer weather washed it away. This is still an ongoing issue and it is only a matter of time before another case is reported. This isn't fixed.

I&P, This issue should not be closed as it is not resolved. The day you went by the house was probably a dry day. I would stop by on a rainy day, especially when the temperatures are below freezing and you will see the dangerous conditions caused by their illegal discharge into the public right-of-way. As you can see, there are multiple neighbors who are still reporting / commenting that this is an issue. Please follow up and address this situation. If it is not handled, we may have to escalate this issue beyond your department. Conversely, if this is not something you feel you can legally address, please let us know and we can reach out to the County Executive's office and/or other agencies to get this resolved. Thank you.

The ice is bad again this morning. Very thick from a significant amount of water on the road. My car skidded going up and down the hill. Please send someone out.

I&P / BOH Admin, please stop closing this ticket when the issue has not been addressed. I have reopened the ticket which needs to remain open until this problem is resolved. Per the comment made earlier, dangerous icy conditions exist again this morning since the illegal discharge at 876 Shore Acres Road had now frozen over again. I also slipped when driving up the hill. Will it take someone getting seriously injured in a car accident to get this resolved because that is bound to happen at some point given the dangerous conditions. I have children that drive up and down that hill and have skidded into oncoming traffic. As a parent and concerned neighbor, this issue needs to be escalated up your Department asap before an injury occurs. I would assume that if someone is injured because nothing was done to correct this issue, it will likely result in a lawsuit. Let's please resolve this issue before that happens.

Fixing the hazardous ice conditions each time is putting a bandaid on the problem.

What is the status of this? That address is draining/routing water from their side yard into the street again and this needs to be permanently corrected.

Sid Saab who is our representative in local congress needs to be contacted. The employees in our county public works department could care less. The police have visited this house and the home owner blew them off.

Ok. The citizens of Shore Acres are not getting any resolution on this issue.Our local agencies refuse to charge these homeowners with illegal discharge, negligence and putting the general public at risk. This is beginning to look like harmful intent.

After an investigation from Right-of-Way Management, it was determined there was no violation made and the discharge coming from 876 Shore Acres is within its limits. Please note, although unfortunate, there are times when rain falls faster than it drains, causing it to seem as though there is an issue with the drainage system when in fact it isn’t. Also, during times when the temperature is below freezing, it causes issues like the one all spoke of in this request—water draining in the County’s Right- of-Way then freezing.
