I believe that cars are allowed in the neighborhood, correct? Also so are rentals per 30 days. If there is a loud party and noise complaint after decent hours, I would suggest calling the police and not wasting the time of the county.

With all due respect to Siesta4life, this property is not renting once per 30 days. Guests are moving in and out for nightly stays, rarely longer than 3 nights. And this multiple times every 30 days! We understand that there is one rental allowed every 30 days, this is not the case at this property. This property is offering and running a transient rental business in our Single Family zoned area.

I appreciate the response and I guess I have lived on Siesta for many many years and have never had any problem with this. I am not sure how it has actually affected my life at all. How do you know if it is not the owner and his/her family, relatives, friends or for business? I think making accusations about something you may or may not be certain of is a little overboard. I would be curious to know how it affects your life or are you a direct neighbor and it's clearly a party house? I walk around the neighborhood all the time and I am just unsure why there is such an issue. If you can actually give some major downside that really affects your life, then maybe I can understand as I don't see it on my end.

I would also echo your comment Siesta4life, there is a general assumption in our neighborhood that you are breaking the law. If you neighbors have concerns about people in the neighborhood they should be good neighbors and ask the homeowner if there is any reason for concern. Knowing and respecting your neighbors makes good neighbors. Gabby, keeping an eye out for the safety of your neighbors and your neighbors property and families makes good neighbors. Using code enforcement to attempt to improve our neighborhood is a poor use of taxpayer money not to mention it creates an environment of mistrust. Talking directly to people, in a respectful manor, will generate better compliance because people will understand your point of view. Code enforcement does not know your point of view and is an ineffective way to communicate in general.

Lauren Wolf, you appear to put on an "air" that you want a respectful line of communication when in fact, you are also part of the problem. When there is an issue in Sarasota Beach area, the "gang" comes out of the woodwork and creates issues beyond respectful. You are part of the chaos created here. Nice try to appear compliant and nice but we all know the truth of your participation of downgrading our neighborhood at 633 and all the other's. Not going to work. So, Code Enforcement is doing their due diligence and the will of this great group will reinforce the 30 day rental rule. You and croonies, stop lying to Sarasota County. If not, why don't you all move and rent your houses in true rental zones.

Funny how someone calls you out by name Lauren, chooses not to say who they are and hide behind this. I think I will start to just rent my house out short term now just because I don’t want any part of these people while living here and I hope it really irritates you all even more. It is pretty much impossible to even have this go in front of the court and it not being dismissed anyways. Within a few years the state will take over once the bill passes and you will be able to do whatever you want with your home and then all these people with way too much time on their hands will leave this amazing area to enjoy again.

Amen to the comments about live and let live. I have had my house for 10 years and never encountered the problems that some people are in such a dither about. I guess because i was busy enjoyong being here and not anxious to make others miserable. All the recent anonymous complaining to code enforcement has done nothing but create ill will and turmoil and has given nasty people who hate their neighbors the cover to make false complaints. A beautiful place has become a miserable place.

What really is quite funny is the people who are miserable in their own lives and just want to complain even though living in paradise are the ones that just hide behind the flawed anonymous system we have. I guess flooding the county with complaints is the better action. These people are a joke.

The Good Neighbors of Sarasota Beach is not a real group formed with the intention of improving the neighborhood. They have not done one good thing for the community. Their sole goal is to harass people they don't like. I received their letter which was a mixture of join us and threats, but I was curious and returned the form to join. Never heard back from them as far as joining. Guess, even though I have owned my home for years and did not rent, I was not the right kind of person for their wannabe "exclusive" little neighborhood. In my opinion, The Good Neighbors group is really just a white, vigilante group trying to drive anybody they don't approve of out of the area.
